Conscious sedation dentistry in Mexico City

Dental treatment with more calm.

For anxious patients, longer procedures or dental implant surgery, conscious sedation may support a more comfortable and controlled experience. It is always decided after clinical evaluation.

Safety and clinical judgment

It is not automatic. It is planned after reviewing your case.

Conscious sedation may help patients feel calmer during selected dental procedures, especially when anxiety, implant surgery or longer appointments are involved. At Smile Implant Center, it is coordinated with certified anesthesiologists when clinically appropriate.

Dental anxiety

It may help patients who have delayed treatment because of fear, sensitivity or difficult previous experiences.

Implant surgery

It can be considered for implant placement, guided surgery, grafting or more complex surgical treatment plans.

All-on-4 / All-on-6

For full-arch rehabilitation, sedation may be part of a more comfortable and controlled surgical plan.

What it means

Calmness, monitoring and local anesthesia when needed.

Conscious sedation does not mean promising risk-free surgery or putting every patient fully asleep. It is a medical tool used to reduce anxiety and improve tolerance during selected procedures, within a responsible treatment plan.

It does not replace diagnosis

Your medical history, medications, type of surgery and general health must be reviewed first.

It does not replace local anesthesia

Local dental anesthesia controls the surgical area; sedation supports comfort and anxiety management.

Care path

How we plan it before dental surgery.

1. Medical and dental evaluation

We review the procedure, medical history, studies, medications and expectations to decide whether sedation is appropriate.

2. Anesthesiologist coordination

Sedation is coordinated with certified anesthesiologists and monitoring during selected procedures.

3. Preoperative instructions

Our team provides case-specific preparation, companion, fasting if applicable and recovery instructions. We do not give generic instructions without evaluating you.

4. Recovery and discharge

After sedation, the patient must follow recovery instructions and usually come with a responsible companion.

FAQ

What patients should know before deciding.

Is conscious sedation for every patient?

No. It is decided after medical and dental evaluation. Some patients or procedures may not need sedation or may require another approach.

Will I be completely asleep?

Not necessarily. Conscious sedation is intended to support relaxation and reduce anxiety; it is not the same as general anesthesia.

Who provides the sedation?

At Smile Implant Center, sedation is coordinated with certified anesthesiologists and monitoring during selected procedures.

Can I drive afterward?

After sedation, you should not drive until your medical team authorizes it. Patients are usually asked to come with a responsible companion.
